Coffee Shop Studio Project
Located in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Downtown Baton Rouge, this historical building should be a unique spot that makes customers feel comfortable, inspired and motivated. Baton Rouge is filled with tons of culture and personality, taking that and portraying it in some aspect of the design is something special to incorporate. This coffee shop is meant to draw in all different sorts of people. As much as the coffee shop will be filled with color and materials to motivate collaboration and thought, it should also be a calm and comforting place to spend time. Based on research, finding a good balance between work and fun is necessary to create a successful space. It is important that when designing a space for a diverse crowd that it embodies characteristics that make all kinds of people feel welcome. People go to coffee shops for various different reasons, designing every detail so that it caters to all is also important to include, such as individual study spots as well as dedicated conversation areas. People work best in environments where they feel comfortable and stress free so it is a main focus to add design elements that bring forth those feelings. This coffee shop should be a hub for people to come and enjoy the environment they are in. Whether it be to study, chat with friends or just grab a quick snack this should be a place customers love to be in.
